  • CULTURAL PROPOSALS
    Please note that in order to submit a project or a proposal for an event at the Institute, you can send an email to contact.sanfrancisco@esteri.it with a brief description and a technical/ financial note. Our servers automatically reject attachments larger than 10mb for security reasons. If you are including large files, consider using a filesharing service. All proposals will be carefully evaluated. However, given the considerable number of requests, only those considered for possible inclusion in the Institute’s programs will be answered.

    WORKING AT THE ITALIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE IN SAN FRANCISCO
    The Italian Cultural Institutes hire personnel solely through a selection or public competition authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You will find public recruitment notices in the News section.

    INTERNING AT THE ITALIAN CULTURAL INSTITUTE INSAN FRANCISCO
    The Italian Cultural Institute San Francisco adheres to the three-month curricular internship program at foreign offices per the agreement among the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the MIUR and the CRUI Foundation. The IIC San Francisco does not organize internships on its own, participate in other programs or accept spontaneous applications.
    The CRUI Foundation select the interns in agreement with the universities and regularly publishes the quarterly tenders (www.fondazionecrui.it).
    Internships at the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco are extended to students attending all university programs. Knowledge of English language at the B2/C1 level is one of the required requirements.

     

    INFORMATION ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

    Information on the protection of individuals with reference to the processing of personal data (General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/17, art. 13)
    The processing of personal data required for the purpose of registration as a user of the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) of San Francisco will conform to the principles of lawfulness, correctness and transparency in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals.

    To this end, the following information is provided:

    1. The Data Controller is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) of the Italian Republic which, in this specific case, operates via the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco (710 San Francisco, 415 788-7142, contact.sanfrancisco@esteri.it, iic.sanfrancisco@cert.esteri.it).

    2. For inquiries or complaints, interested parties may contact the MAECI Head of Personal Data Protection (RPD) (mailing address: Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Piazzale della Farnesina 1, 00135 ROMA, telephone 0039 06 36911 (switchboard), email: rpd@esteri.it, certified email [pec]: rpd@cert.esteri.it).

    3. Personal data collected will be entered into a database for the following purposes: invitation to cultural events organized by the IIC, sharing of cultural newsletters, promotion of Italian language courses, use of library.

    4. Processing of data entered into the database is based on consent. Any refusal to provide the requested data will prevent users from accessing services.

    5. Data processing, performed by specially appointed IIC personnel, will be carried out in manual and automated format.

    6. Data provided by interested parties during registration will only be used by the IIC and will not be divulged to third parties.

    7. Every five years following registration or renewal, the Institute will request users to confirm, electronically, their continued interest in the service and will delete personal data of any who do not provide it, either by a non-reply or by explicit denial.

    8. Interested parties may request access to their personal data and the correction of the same. Without prejudice to any consequences on accessibility to services, they may also request the cancellation of such data, as well as limitation of – or opposition to - data processing. In these cases, interested parties must submit a specific request to the Italian Cultural Institute, and notify MAECI RPD of the same.

    9. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the MAECI RPD.
