Roberto Fabbri, guitar virtuoso

Roberto Fabbri, guitar virtuoso

Meet a master of the instrument!

Roberto Fabbri has opened for Ennio Morricone (the legend who brought us those wistful spaghetti Western scores), is recognised even in Spain (the land of guitar virtuosi) as a master of the instrument, and has been described as incandescent, exuberant and technically surprising by Soundboard magazine, the premier guitar publication. He is the only Italian guitarist featured in Pure emotions - Classical guitar love (one of the most important anthologies produced by Sony Classical Italia for the autumn-winter 2014-5 season, including pieces by the greatest guitar virtuosi in the Sony Classical catalogue, such as Andrés Segovia and Julian Bream) – and that must mean something. Following a resounding success at the Parco della Musica Auditorium in Rome last December, he is back with the Roberto Fabbri Solo Spring Tour, a series of concerts in Italy and the United States in which the Roman guitarist will present his greatest successes. After the Italian leg of the tour, he will play at the prestigious Portland International Guitar Festival (15 and 17 May), here at the IIC San Francisco (19 May), and at Oakland University (21 May).
