In order to promote the increased circulation of Italian books abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs awards financial support for the translation of Italian literary and scientific works. Dubbing and subtitling of short and feature-length films for television series targeted to mass media are also eligible for awards.

Applications for prizes and grants must be submitted to this Italian Cultural Institute by March 31 and September 30 of each year.
