Argentinian-Italian conductor Michelle Di Russo leads Festival Orchestra Napa in Ansel Adams: America, a sweeping symphonic work composed by the late jazz giant Dave Brubeck and his son Chris Brubeck. A tribute to the beloved American landscape photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams, this powerful multimedia work integrates over 100 photographs with music. Concluding the program is a performance by the dynamic Brubeck Brothers Quartet.
Michelle Di Russo is the 2022 recipient of Festival Napa Valley's Joel Revzen Conducting Fellowship. Her appearance is sponsored in part by the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco.
