Matera, one of the oldest cities in Europe with its 8,000 years of history, has been announced as 2019 European Capital of Culture. For the occasion, the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco is hosting a photo exhibition by architect and photographer Nico Colucci Matera: Probable Landscapes, and a film series featuring a selection of movies shot in this unique place.
NOTE: With the exception of the first movie, Christ Stopped at Eboli, all movies will be screened at the Italian Cultural Institute.
