La Piazza San Francisco Italian Literary Festival | La Piazza Kids

On the occasion of La Piazza – San Francisco Italian Literary Festival, the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco, in collaboration with the cultural association Librai in Corso, presents La Piazza Kids, a series of meetings reserved for primary and secondary school students in the Bay Area.

The program brings Italian children’s authors Silvia D’Achille and Benedetta Faedi to local schools, fostering dialogue with students through conversations, readings, and discussions that introduce young audiences to contemporary Italian literature for young readers.

SILVIA D’ACHILLE
After completing her university studies in Venice, in 2003 she moved to Florence to work for a publishing house. A lifelong enthusiast of reading and writing, she specialized in the preschool sector and in early readers. For twenty years she worked in editing, editorial planning, series development, and text writing. She is currently a freelance editor and an author of books for children. She has published with Giunti, Il Battello a Vapore, Il Castoro, and Gribaudo. She is the artistic director of Leggenda, the reading and listening festival in Empoli.
