The costumier for Il Gattopardo and Death in Venice

If you have seen Satyricon, Il Gattopardo, Death in Venice or Pasolini’s Medea, you have seen the stunning costumes created by Piero Tosi. Working with Visconti, Fellini, Pasolini and others, Tosi was painstakingly meticulous in his research on historical costumes, and maintained an extensive collection of antique images to ensure the historical accuracy of his creations. His many prizes include two BAFTAs, five Academy Awards, and an Academy Honorary Award.
