Ring-a-ding-ding: The Movies of Frank Sinatra

Weekend film series to celebrate Sinatra’s centenary

Frank Sinatra would be 100 this year and to celebrate Jack Daniel’s is presenting “Ring-A-Ding-Ding: The Movies of Frank Sinatra” at the Vogue Theatre in San Francisco. Over the weekend of August 21, 11 of Sinatra’s most iconic roles will be screened, a carefully curated selection of movies that demonstrate his range from singing and dancing to comedy and serious dramatic roles. He showed early on his capacity to make people forget they were watching a singing idol and believe in his onscreen characters.
Amanda Erlinger, Sinatra’s granddaughter, will be present to talk about her grandfather.

Tickets can be purchased through www.cinemasf.com/vogue; articles about the series are here and here.
