This year’s 20th Anniversary of the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, will feature a special Opening Night presentation on Thursday, September 12, prior to 3 nights of programming at Brava Theater, September 13-15. The September 12 event will be held at Envelop, a unique concert venue at the Midway in Dogpatch. This intimate venue has an array of speakers for spatializing multiple channels of sound. It’s possible to present work as a playback piece, or to mix it live in the space.
This year’s Italian contribution to the festival is offered by the duo of Italian brothers from Torino, Maurizio and Roberto Opalio, who create audiovisual work under the moniker My Cat Is an Alien. The duo presents a new playback piece created for this concert.
