Threshold: a photographic exhibition by Graziano Paiella

Photography: a reflection of reality, or a window on to the world?

60 photos by RAI TV director Graziano Paiella, with the theme of the ‘frame’ as threshold: the photographer’s choice of what to photograph and what to leave out, the way objects in the environment create frames, and how the concept of the frame invites new modes of perception.
The photographs are the result of Paiella’s extensive travels throughout Italy. In each image, in addition to the window-threshold created by the frame, we discover another threshold, created by the mesh of a fence, a reflection, a parapet, a gate, or the necks of two swans through which to view the horizon over the sea.

Opening reception: 8 August, 6:30 PM. Register here.
On view Mon-Fri 10-4:30 until 5 September.
