Theater, melodrama, song and more: Italian on Stage is the theme chosen this year for the 19th Edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (October 21-27), in which Embassies, Consulates and Institutes of Culture will organize events to promote Italian throughout the world.
The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an event promoted yearly by the cultural and diplomatic network in the third week of October around a theme that serves as a common thread for the organization of a vast cultural program to promote the diffusion of the Italian language. The initiative was launched in 2001 through the joint action of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Accademia della Crusca, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
