SYNOPSIS
Carlobianchi and Doriano are two inseparable friends on the verge of their fifties—two disillusioned souls who remain stubbornly true to themselves, living on the margins of Italy’s Veneto plain.
One night, as they wander from one bar to another in search of a final drink before dawn, they cross paths with Giulio, a shy and awkward young architecture student struggling to find his place amid family expectations and difficulties in his personal relationships. Through a series of coincidences, the three find themselves sharing a car journey along back roads, through sleepy towns and fog-shrouded landscapes of the Italian countryside.
With a tender and ironic look at provincial Italy, the film explores friendship, loneliness, and the challenge of finding one’s place in the world. A minimalist, nocturnal road movie that, through authentic characters and sharp, witty dialogue, celebrates the hidden beauty of ordinary lives and the chance encounters that can transform the way we see ourselves and others.
