LEARN MORE

Structured around seven stations, MOSAICO: Italian Code of a Timeless Art, is the first traveling multimedia exhibition dedicated to Italian mosaics: a 2,000-year journey exploring the images, symbols, techniques, and materials of some of the most famous and representative Italian mosaics, including those in Rome, Pompeii, Aquileia, Ravenna, Palermo, Monreale, Piazza Armerina and the submerged city of Baia. The exhibition combines centuries-old craftsmanship with state-of-the-art multimedia, allowing visitors to interact with ancient mosaics, and provides a deep dive into how mosaics were used as a medium for storytelling, cultural expression, and religious devotion, demonstrating the great relevance of this artistic form.
