Viola Buitoni will teach how to make Baci Perugina!
This Valentine’s Day, come to the Istituto Italiano di Cultura to learn how Italians say “I love you”.Join our food specialist, Viola Buitoni, in a workshop to uncover the secrets of Baci Perugina, the iconic Italian confection still deliciously made with the same recipe of gianduja, dark chocolate and whole toasted hazelnuts since 1922.
Viola, a direct descendant of the family that founded Perugina chocolates, will tell of the threads of family, love and chocolate that turned Perugina from an exclusive confectionery shop in the heart of the Umbrian capital city of Perugia to the worldwide brand it is today.
Bring your Valentine or come solo to make new friends in chocolate. Before the evening ends, you will delight in a hands-on tutorial on tempering chocolate and making Baci, straight from Viola’s training at Perugina’s Scuola del Cioccolato in Italy, and you will leave with a box of freshly made Baci, having learnt how to say “I love you” the Italian way.
