The duo, composed of cellist Ludovica Rana and pianist Maddalena Giacopuzzi, was formed in 2018 and has performed extensively in important festivals and concert associations, such as the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Società dei Concerti di Milano, Accademia Filarmonica di Verona. In 2021 the duo Rana – Giacopuzzi won the DV Young Sounds competition by the record label Da Vinci Records thanks to which their debut CD entitled Affresco italiano was published.

Ludovica studied at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, the Menuhin Academy, the Pavia Cello Academy and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. She currently teaches Chamber Music at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Nocera Terinese and plays a Claude Augustine Miremont from 1860.

Maddalena studied at the Conservatory of Bolzano, the Incontri col Maestro Academy in Imola, and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. She teaches Piano at the Paisiello Conservatory in Taranto.
