On the occasion of the 5ht Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco is delighted to present two iconic movies characterized by a connection with the theme of the Italian cuisine. The screenings will take place at the Fort Mason Flix Drive-In, and will feature Sergio Leone’s masterpiece A Fistful of Dollar (Per un pugno di dollari), the film that launched the genre Spaghetti Western and catapulted Clint Eastwood into stardom, followed by An American in Rome (Un americano a Roma), with the protagonist Alberto Sordi in the unforgettable scene “Maccheroni, m’hai provocato….” as an homage to Sordi’s 100th anniversary. The jazz group Sonamó will open the evening with music by maestro Ennio Morricone, who recently passed away.
