The Library of the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco has more than 3,000 books on various subjects including Italian and world literature, art, history, geography, archaeology, theater, music, cinema, dance, and teaching the Italian language.
The Video library has a rich collection of films and other video material that includes Italian classics and the most recent film productions.
Opening hours to the public
Monday to Friday: 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00
Access and consultation
The Library is open to the public for free consultation on site.
The loan of books and videos is permitted only to current members of the Institute. Some texts and videos can only be consulted in the Institute during opening hours.
Members can borrow only one book at a time and/or two DVDs for a period of two weeks renewable for another week.
In the event that the borrowed book is lost or damaged, the user will lose the subscription fee.
