As part of the 53rd edition of the International Flaiano Awards, Literature section, the call for applications for the 25th edition of the Flaiano Award for Italian Studies “Luca Attanasio” is now open.
For the fifth consecutive year, the award will also include a Young Under-35 category dedicated to new digital languages (short films, advertisements, written works, etc.), with the aim of continuing to recognize the promotion of Italian culture around the world through younger generations who make use of new technologies. This year’s award will also feature a new category dedicated to “Lingua Geniale” (Ingenious Language), inspired by the title selected for the 2026 Week of Italian Language in the World, “Lingua geniale: ideare, progettare, creare con l’italiano” (“Ingenious Language: Conceiving, Designing, Creating in Italian”). The new category aims to highlight the strategic connection between culture and growth, with the Italian language and the Italian-speaking community serving as privileged tools for fostering this relationship.
