A call is now open for the allocation of 8 places for native-speaking translators (German, English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic) for a 4-week residency from July 26 to August 23, 2026, at Venice International University.
The program includes room and board (travel expenses not covered) and access to university facilities. Applicants must have either a publishing contract or a translation project for an Italian literary or non-fiction work.
Applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM on April 30, 2026, via email at viu@registerpec.it and viu@univiu.org, including CV, publishing documentation, and a translation project.
Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee; selected candidates will also take part in public cultural activities during the residency.
