Luca Pisaroni: bass-baritone

Recital by an acclaimed Italian opera singer

Luca Pisaroni, baritoneWolfram Rieger, piano

Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni has established himself as one of the most captivating and versatile singers performing today. Since his debut at the Salzburg Festival at age 26 with the Vienna Philharmonic under Nikolaus Harnoncourt, he has performed at many of the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls.

Last season this versatile artist from Verdi’s hometown pulled off what Opera News compared to a “hat trick.” Within a few short months he racked up stunning performances in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, bowed in the role of Caliban in the Met’s premiere of The Enchanted Island and made his Chicago Lyric Opera debut in Handel’s baroque masterwork, Rinaldo. His recital debut promises to be a remarkable introduction of an extraordinary artist.
