The call for applications for the second edition of Transatlantic Stars is now open. This cultural diplomacy program, offered by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, connects European and American artists through artistic exchanges, collaborative creation, professional development opportunities, local community engagement, and public presentations.
The program is open to artists from all 27 EU Member States and offers fully funded opportunities in the United States between April and June 2027 in three fields:
- Visual Arts: Two-month residencies in various U.S. communities, in collaboration with local artists.
- Film: A two-week program featuring the Berkshire International Film Festival, Emerson College, and meetings with film industry professionals in Los Angeles.
- Music: An intensive program in Cleveland, Ohio, focused on collaborative songwriting, studio sessions, and professional development, culminating in a live performance.
Selected participants will also gather in Washington, D.C., in June 2027 for a closing public event and to join the project’s international alumni network.
Application deadline: October 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CET. A maximum of 300 applications will be reviewed in each field.
